The long-awaited fifth novel in the Obernewtyn Chronicles is worth the wait. Although after such a wait the story is a little hard to follow.

Carmody continues Elspeth's journey as the seeker, destined to find the weapons which destroyed the world before they are used again. She finds the fifth and last sign of her quest in a crystal cave while making plans to avert an invasion which will consume her land.

The book isn't quite the finale it was planned to be. It is clear the series will have at least one more book,.
